Stewardship or Sacrifice? Religion and the Ethics of Climate Change

Conference: October 7–8, 2009

Pasquerilla Spiritual Center, Penn State, University Park

 

The keynote speakers will be the Rev. Canon Sally Bigham, founder of Interfaith Power and Light, and Prof. Michael E. Mann of Penn State, a lead author of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Third Scientific Assessment Report.  On the second day of the conference, local, state, and national advocates in the role of religion in climate change will discuss practical steps that congregations can take to respond to climate change.
